*Ĭreate a file named peer_blacklist.txt in the qBittorrent data folder (AppData/Local/qBittorrent/ on Windows)Īdd a single line containing the text in the box above and save itĪnd that's it! TL DR: Are all TorrentStorm clients just fakes and no one has talked about it for some reason?ĮDIT: I still have no idea what is up with this, but for anyone who ends up here and wants to block them I found a solution. I'm pretty certain that it's not legitimately a bunch of people using a client over 15 years old, but I do just find it strange that I haven't seen it mentioned hardly anywhere at all. Is it really just faking clients that are going through the effort to make it not even seem like they're actually downloading much? Right now on a torrent I'm connected to 13 of them and over half don't even show having any data uploaded to them. On certain torrents, seemingly usually bigger ones, I'll sometimes just see a ton of clients connecting as "TorrentStorm 0.0.0.8" They never seem to download past 10%, and I'd assume that it's just faking clients, but my client almost never reports sending them more than a couple hundred MiB. I'm here to ask this because I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere except for this post and this post.
